Google Search Console Management

I manage every aspect of Search Console

Google Search Console allows you to manage SEO and your website in general, in relation to its appearance on Google Search. It also serves as a direct line of communication with Google.

Alerts and errors sent from Google

When Google crawls your site they may find errors. These errors can prevent specific webpages from being indexed or your entire site from appearing on Google. The errors can range from page structure that is not valid all the way up to errors that prevent Google from crawling your website.

If your website has security issues such as no HTTPS this will result in Google warning your users they should not trust your site. This warning appears before the user gets to your site and the majority of the time they will hit the back button and find another site.

Some of the more serious issues that Google will communicate through Search Console are manual actions. Manual actions are discovered and given to you by Google employees. These can be devastating and last for months or until the action is resolved.

Some other common errors you will see are 404 errors, mobile friend issues and indexing issues. 404 errors allow you to manage your broken links and either remove the page from Googles index or setup a redirect.

Webpage performance, keywords and indexing

Search Console is my number one tool for monitoring the performance of individual webpages. All the data you need is there and straight from the horses mouth - Google. How many impressions your pages receive on Google, how many clicks a page receives, its all there at a glance.

Tracking keywords is by far the most useful tool. The reports show you how many impressions were triggered for specific keywords and how many clicks they got. The gem though is the position tracking. Every keyword that Google associates with your website is listed. The best part - you can filter the report to show the position of each keyword from top position to bottom.

This tells you exactly which keywords you rank for and for the most part on what page number your webpage shows up on Google. You can break it down and see what search queries triggered your Google My Business profile to display on Google Search. If a user clicks on the website link in the profile you will know the user found your website using Google My Business.

If you have a webpage or blog you just created you can use Search Console to request the page be indexed and usually it will be indexed immediately.

The list really goes on and on with how Google Search Console can help manage your SEO. Setting up and managing Search Console is one of the first things I do for my clients. I use it to monitor keywords, index pages and stay in touch with Google regarding any errors they might find on your site.
